From my morning devotion:
Proverbs 8:1 Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
also:
Proverbs 8:19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
Wisdom cries out for us. Wisdom wants to give us her fruit.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
There's someone else who's calling. He wants to sup with you.
Colossians 2:2-3 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
What a beautiful picture these verses paint. Christ wants to come, be with us Giving his wisdom. Just to be with us.
Lord, give us your wisdom. Give us understand. Give us knowledge. Be intimate with us. We want to know you more. In Jesus name, Amen.
