From my morning devotion:
Matthew 17:27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
also:
Revelation 2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
It's one thing to be a stumbling block. It's quite another to teach others to do so. We must strive to never do anything that will cause another person not to want to become a Christian. To instruct others to do so is a false prophet.
It's interesting how one sin always slides into another. Eating what God has commanded you not to turns to idolatry and fornication.
Lord, give me a right spirit. Help me to lead others to you. In Jesus name, Amen.
