From my morning devotion:
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
also:
Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Created to be a sinless man, with such an intellect that he could name all the animals and tend the garden, God said it was not good to be alone. Yet we tell young people that they should avoid marriage as long as possible so they can get as much out of life as possible.
1 Corinthians 7:9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
God would rather a couple marry than burn in lust. There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end they end up falling into sexual sin. They are following the way to death.
Lord, help us to follow your ways instead of the ways of men. Give us wisdom that we might always see your way. In Jesus name, Amen.
