From my morning devotion:
Proverbs 25:4 Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer. 5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.
also:
Proverbs 17:3 The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts.
When the trials of life come, don't let them get you down. Don't fight it! God is trying to separate you from something in your life.
2 Timothy 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
God is not cruel. He has a plan for you. He has a place of honor for you. The greater the plan he has for you, the more you're going to have to go into the fire.
Lord, we thank you for our trials. Show us what you wish to take from us. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
