From my morning devotion:
Proverbs 10:6 Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
Proverbs 10:11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
Proverbs 10:14 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
God, through Solomon, gives us some very good living advice here. Deal fairly with people. Let your mouth be a wellspring of life, build others up instead of tearing them down. Study, lay up knowledge against a day when you may need it.
James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
We've got to get rid of ALL our pride & arrogance, humble (not humiliate) ourselves before God and man. The God will give us the grace we need to love our neighbors as ourselves.
Lord, forgive me for not loving my neighbor the way you love them. Grant me your grace in your time. That I might have right relationships with my neighbors. I want to be a shining example of what your love can do for humanity. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
