Genesis 3:4-6 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
- God is redefined
- ye shall be as gods
- Conversion redefined
- in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened
- Death is redefined
- Ye shall not surely die
- Moral relativism
- knowing good and evil
The first three points are self explanatory. The final one is much more subtle. You will be able to define good and evil based upon what you can rationalize rather than going to God's word.
Proverbs 15:9 The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Lord, please forgive us our wickedness, for placing ourselves above you. We will follow after your righteousness with will all humility. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
