Morning Meditations: Great Commission

Matthew 28:19,20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

also:

Proverbs 10:8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

Jesus commanded us not only to follow his example, but to preach the gospel, make converts and baptize. The wise servant will do all their master requires. To not be involved in these ministries invites the opportunity for backsliding.

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Are you being perfected? Are you assisting in perfecting the saints of the Church? God didn't put you where you are to be a spiritual sponge. He gave you spiritual gifts to help out! Listen to the Holy Spirit. Let Him guide your footsteps. Be an encouragement to someone.

Lord, help us be more in tune with your will. Help us to develop our spiritual gifts. Perfect us in your sight. In Jesus name, Amen.
