Survey: frequent Bible reading can turn you liberal
This article made me sick. The title of this article should have been, personal Bible study makes you more human.
The message is clear: Corporate Christianity makes you Republican. Reading the Bible makes you care about your fellow human being, cherish life, be frugal. But rather than saying that, they instead attach the tag liberal, leftward, etc. Makes me think that the Bible will turn me into a long haired pot smoker.
The message should have been abandon your churches, they are leading you wrong. I'm not sure that people will come away from this article thinking reading their Bible is good or bad.
